The entire town of Pafos is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring monuments of exquisite and unique beauty. Pafos was the capital of Cyprus for a long period of time in antiquity.
On our way to reach Paphos town, we will make our first stop to Pissouri and in particular at ‘Petra tou Romiou. The legend has it that according to mythology, the Goddess of Love and Beauty was born through the foam of this sea.
We will then head off for the ‘Tombs of the Kings’. This area contains underground tombs said to rest noble men, carved out of solid rock, which date back to the 3rd century B.C and causing a sense of mystery and secrecy.
Continuing the trip to pure history, we will then walk to the nearby ‘Roman Villas of Dionysos’, where the guests will see the ploughshare which accidentally uncovered part of a mosaic pavement in 1962. This was the beginning of a series of excavations that finally revealed a total of 22 rooms, 14 of them with mosaic floors representing scenes of hunting and Greek mythology of exquisite beauty and perfect geometry.
Just next to Paphos Archeological Park where the mosaics are located, we will meet Paphos Fort. This was originally built to protect the harbour but was dismantled by the Venetians in 1570. During the 16th century, the Ottomans restored and rebuilt the fort after they captured the island.

Nicosia is the capital of Cyprus and a must for every visitor on the island. Our tour will first lead us to the Cyprus Archaeological Museum where a huge collection of important archaeological findings are housed and through which the long cultural and historical heritage of the island is revealed.
Driving along the UN Buffer Zone and the old city of Nicosia, we will see one most unfortunate distinction; the fact that this is Europe’s only militarily divided city since 1974.
We will continue our visit to the old city within the Venetian Walls. Afterwards, Archbishopric, St. John’s Cathedral and the Liberty Statue which are situated in the heart of old Nicosia. ‘Laiki Yitonia’ is a beautifully restored 18th century neighborhood within the Walls which has kept the traditional style of the old times’ market, restaurants and narrow paved streets with local merchants and craftsmen displaying their hand-made products.
Walking through the legendary as well as contemporary shops of Ledras and Onasagorou streets, we will reach ‘Levention’ Municipal Museum. It is the only historical museum of Nicosia reviving the old ways of Cypriot life from ancient to present times.
Before the end of our excursion, we will spare some time for a stroll and some shopping in the souvenir shops which feature excellent samples of Cypriot history and culture.

Limassol is the second largest city of the island, with stretches of sandy beaches, beautiful traditional and modern buildings as well as world-class hotels.
Our first stop is the Amathus Archaeological Site. Located 11km east of Limassol center, it is considered one of the most important ancient and historical sites of Cyprus. It is also known as Ancient Amathunta and dates back to 1100 BC. The visitors can enjoy their guided walk around the ancient site by viewing rare and beautiful archaeological treasures which were buried for centuries.
We will then visit the Castle of Kolossi, a former Crusader stronghold on the south-west edge of Kolossi village. The surrounding land around Kolossi castle played an important role in the past as it had been highly cultivated with sugarcane and vineyards, from which the famous and oldest named wine in the world, Commandaria, was produced. The name ‘Commandaria’ originates from the headquarters of Kolossi – the ‘Grand Commanderie’.
We will continue our trip by visiting the core of the city, with its narrow streets radiating out from the old fishing harbor, where old shuttered houses and modern boutiques both squeeze themselves into the fray. It’s an area buzzing with cafes, bars and restaurants that are as popular with locals as they are with visitors. Next, we will visit the new Limassol marina, a long-planned construction project next to the old harbor, which has brought new life and pizzazz to the area.
Our last stop will be the Limassol castle, next to the Carob Mills complex. The exact date of the fort’s construction is not known, but according to tradition, this is where Richard the Lionheart married Berengaria of Navarre and crowned her Queen of England in 1191. The castle currently houses the Medieval museum of Cyprus.

Village Night Out
Wednesday, 2nd of September 2015
€ 45.00 per person
View details
Once coming to Cyprus, you cannot miss having a traditional meat ‘meze’ lunch or dinner. Cypriots have gained a great deal of specialization through many long years of experience in the preparation and cooking of different kinds of meat in many different ways.
Traditional taverns are usually owned and run by families. Usually the mother in the family would be the cook and would employ all the knowledge passed on to her by her mother and grandmother; whereas the father would be the one to barbeque/grill the meat and check if customers are happy with their service. The children will usually be the servers. The whole family takes great pride in what they do and do not want a single person to leave their premises unhappy.
Participation to this event will provide an experience of a real life dinner that a Cypriot family would usually have on a special occasion or on a Sunday. Our Village Night-Out will start with our transfer to the village.
You will be escorted to a traditional stone-built tavern with an engaging traditional décor. You will be served a variety of ‘meze’ dishes (assortment of dishes) comprising mainly of meat as well as other delicious sides such as ‘grilled halloumi cheese’, smoked sausages, ‘koupepia’ (stuffed vine leaves with minced meat and herbs).
Along with the sumptuous selection of ‘meze’ platters you will also be served local wine as well as the authentic spirit that Cyprus is globally known for: ‘zivania’. The background music will create a festive atmosphere that will give a chance to all delegates unwind from the busy conference schedule.
Fish Night Out
Friday, 4th of September 2015
€ 45.00 per person
View details
Cyprus has always been related and engaged in marine activities. This mean that Cypriots couldn’t miss being involved in fishing. Fresh fish and seafood has always been part of Cypriots’ Mediterranean diet.
That is the reason that there is an array of fish taverns and restaurants in every coastal town; as devotees wanted to share their love for fresh fish by creating a place that they could put their own personal touch on and that would harmoniously suit the pleasure of exchanging conversation with good fish ‘meze’.
The catch of the day is daily supplied by local fishermen to taverns. Owners with long years of experience will selectively choose fresh fish to be served to customers. Besides, the reputation of a tavern is dependent on the quality and freshness of the dishes to be served. Big fish like sea bass, octopus and squid is usually marinated, then grilled and finally garnished with fresh herbs. Smaller types of fish are usually deep fried.
Our Fish night-out will be held in a traditional well known fish tavern. We will be transferred by coach to a family- run tavern; exemplary of the traditional ‘marine’ environment and décor which characterizes such taverns.
The staff will make sure that a full range of fish dishes such as grilled bream, fried whitebait, red snapper and mullet, as well a great selection of fresh seafood like squid, octopus and mussels are to be served generously for you to relish. Apart from the main fish ‘meze’ (assortment of dishes) you will be offered to taste several side dishes such as fish roe, tahini and beetroot and other specialties.
Fish meze is always served with local dry wine or ‘ouzo’ (Greek spirit). A good companion to all the above is festive Greek music which is blended with the soft sound of the waves.
